Bulk Mixes / Nutrients
We offer several options in bulk to help you save some costs. These mixes are sold by the loader scoop, approximately 1 yard scoop.
We Offer:
Compost – Mushroom compost only from Certified Organic Mushroom operations
Basalt – Locally mined Catoctin Basalt Rock Powder. Great source of trace minerals and carbon sequester properties.
Wood Chips – coarse chips for mulch or the base layer in a raised bed garden.
All ingredients organic, sustainable and great for growing.
Base Mixes
Base X1 – A mix of Compost , wood chips and Basalt Rock dust. An economical mix for top dressing, mulch or base on Raised bed gardens.
Base X2 - A mix of compost, hardwood saw dust and basalt rock powder – a finer version of Base X1.
Base X3 - Base X2 with PBH ( rice hulls) for additional drainage.
Base X4 – Base X3 with nutrient charge of two different Nature Safe Mixes. This mix is similar to Multi_Mix 2+
Note: All of our base mixes are mixed with different equipment than our bag mixer to help lower costs. They are not as homogeneous as our bagged mixes due to the process. This means materials are not as evenly distributed in the mix.
Nursery Mix
Nursery mix is a mix of compost, bark (larger), PBH rice hulls , Sulfur, Nature Safe Nutrients and Basalt rock. It is design to be an economical mix for native plant and other large pot nursery applications. Sold in bulk.
